Does anyone know if the breitlings sold at Costco are real or not? I had a jeweler tell they were not. Has anyone bought one from Costco?

If you use the search you'll find a lot of threads on Costco, they are real but grey market so no factory warranty.

Pretty much what Roff said - they are real, but gray market. Selling fakes is against the law, and Costco could get in a lot of trouble if they did so knowingly. If they ever sold one accidentally (which is unlikely, but theoretically not impossible), and you found out it was a fake, they would surely refund your money. Plus, they have a no-questions-asked return policy, which makes it a pretty risk-free purchase. That said, you don't get the factory warranty. That's bad enough on ETA-based Breitling models that have a two-year warranty, but on the in-house Breitlings, that means you lose out on a full five years of coverage. Considering you can still get pretty good discounts at an AD, I just don't see much point in going through Costco.

FYI, I'm speaking as one who bought a watch from Costco. I can't say it was a negative experience, but I probably wouldn't do it again. About the only scenario I could imagine where I would buy from them is if it's an out-of-production model that I absolutely wanted, and that I couldn't find at an AD. That's a pretty slim shot, though. Usually, it's just the opposite: I rarely, if ever, find the models that are exactly what I'm interested in. Purchasing from them would almost invariably involve settling for less than what I would ideally want. Why bother?

As a former BJ's member, I recall seeing Omegas, & other famous
marques, along with a glut of Invictas. BJ's also has a lifetime
return, so no getting stuck with anything. This is especially
vital due to Invicta's dubious quality, & lack of quality control,
customer service, repairs, & other alleged heinous offences.
