Post subject:  Yay! My Breitling Emergency came!

New to this forum but I just recently got my Breitling Emergency. I had a few questions about it now that I've done some investigating. Is it weird that it didn't come with the paperwork in (what I assume is Swedish) says "Montre No." and any warranty information?

Also, I know that if you buy a Emergency new you have to sign a sheet saying you accept the terms & conditions if you were to activate the transmitter in a non-emergency setting. Is it a problem that I haven't signed anything since I bought it online?

Anyways, thanks for any help and advice. Here's the watch itself :D The box is in rough shape (at least in my opinion, but the watch is in excellent condition)

Where did you buy it? Are you sure it's new?

Montre No. is French - literally watch number, but English equivalent would be serial number.

You didn't get a warranty because you bought it grey market - the biggest disadvantage of using a grey market dealer. Basically it was withheld to proect the AD who sold to the grey market and you effectively have a watch with no warranty unless the grey market retailer offered an exchange.

In terms of the activation agreement, you can go in to any AD and get a copy of the form to complete.

I bought it via eBay and it wasn't new when I bought it.

Thank you for the information on the activation agreement. Would I have to go to the sole AD here in the US (it says it's in connecticut) to sign the agreement or could I go to a retailer to obtain the form?

Is there any way I can obtain a paperwork with the "serial #"?

Was the fact the red flash around the antenna cap showing addressed when you purchased the watch? I always get nervous when I see them without the grey seal in place.

They meant go to an Authorized Breitling Retailer. The place is CT is the distributor and the main service center for the US.

AD = Authorised Dealer - any official Breitling retailer.

Alright. I meant the place in CT when I said Authorized Distributor. As for the red flaw around the antenna cap I did a little research prior to the purchase and all the watches I saw looked like that. So I didn't think it was a big deal... Should I be worried?

It's not uncommon for the plastic o-ring to break off, not that big a deal and will be handled in servicing.
