Hi guys a few days ago I was at my AD paying for my Chronomat FF (will be here in 2 weeks) and I was trying on and handling different breitling models and I remember I tried a chronomat evolution and the bezel ratcheting was awesome it felt like butter and very solid. However while handling the new chronomat 44 the bezel ratchet felt very strange as if it wasn't oiled or something like that, the "teeth" of the ratcheting weren't smooth they feel like sharp teeth in the bearings and the whole bezel turning felt like it had like 340 clicks. It felt the same in a friends chronomat 44 very unrefined clicks in the bezel. Is hard to explain for me since english is not my first language Anyway, has any of you owners felt something similar with your new Chronomats 44? Jorge B. |

I would not have characterized the bezel action on my Evo as "like butter" There was nothing wrong with it; it was certainly solid, as you say, but not exceptionally smooth. When I tried on the 44, though, I was impressed that the bezel felt smoother, although I'm basing this on memory. The most butter-like bezel action I have yet to feel is on the Rolex Sub, and neither Chronomat equals that. That said, I am of the impression that the bezel mechanics on the Chronomat 44 are generally superior to those of the Evo, at least if my experience is anything to go by. |

The bezel on my GMT 47 felt like that, and was actually too loose in my opinion. It was way to easy to turn. However, my GMT 44 is completely different. It's bi directional, silent, and super smooth like my Rolex GMTIIc was. |

maybe is just my idea since i've not handled many high end watches with rotating bezel, im a little bit more familiarized with slimmer dress watches. I'll let you know how my chronomat feels when it arrives ![]() Thanks for your responses guys! ![]() |
