The SO GMT, black bezel, white dial gives it a classic enough look.
Not much to argue with here. I like it.

I am about to make my first Breitling purchase. I have a 6.75 inch wrist so the mm of the watch matters. I don't want a watch that looks huge on my wrist. I have narrowed my choice to the superocean 42 or the superocean gmt. I am looking for a style that will be timeless(if possible). Do you guys have any thoughts on those two watches? Are there any other I should consider? Thanks |

If you want timeless, you might consider the Superocean Heritage 42. |

thanks. i do like the heritage but prefer the looks of the super ocean gmt and it's s/s band. this will be an everyday watch that i can where both with shorts or a suit. i am leaning towards the superocean gmt. any thoughts on that watch???? thanks. |

Timeless elegance The 38mm Montbrillant is certainly a very classy and timeless choice, no doubt about it just as any Navi in the Breitling range is. The 42mm SO however should not be a problem on the OP 6.75 wrist. Although I do not have the 42 SO, it looked perfectly fine on my 6.75 wrist when I tried it on. It's ultimately down to taste and money but the SO I posted earlier looks very nice IMO. |

Thanks. I like the Montbrillant but it is a little out of my price range. I am hoping to keep this purchase under $4000. In addition to the S.O. 42 and the S.O. GMT 41, should i consider the S.O. 1 Chrono(i saw them for sale on a couple of sites and they are 42mm) or the Windrider Galactic 41? In addition, I want the watch to be suitable for everyday wear for anything from a suit to jeans. Thanks in advance for you help! |

You are looking at some very different looks - which ones do you like? The opinions of other people are really not relevant to which watch you are comfortable wearing. Go to an AD, strap a few on and see which one 'speaks' to you. |

thanks. i am leaning towards the s.o. 2 or s.o. gmt. i do like the previous so chrono though. i am a little nervous about the gmt b/c breatling only made the colt gmt for a short period of time. i just want to make the best purchase i can, that i will enjoy for many years to come. |

Even if Breitling decides decides to drop the SO GMT nothing will stop you from enjoying it for many years to come. Even servicing it is not likely to be a problem. I just had a 1998 Premier serviced that Breitling run for only two years and parts were no problem including a new dial. As Roff said, visit an AD or two and try different models. Your heart and your eyes will tell you what works best for you, not us in this forum  Good luck with the choice and hope to see some wrist shots of your new baby soon!

Thank you. Now I just need to decide between the S.O. 42 and the S.O. GMT. Will both of these work on a small wrist? Are either of the bracelets on these watches available with a brushed finish? |
