Hi all, ![]() I am going to Switzerland in about a month on a work trip. Does anyone know if i can get better "Breitling for my Buck" over there? Or are the prices set kind of globally? All help gratefully received. |

Suggested retail prices are very similar. For example, a TOC on leather with deployant is 7470chf here and $7795 in the US. Converting $7795 to CHF gives 7472chf. However, the Swiss price includes 8% VAT which you may be able to get rebated or not pay at all if you buy duty free. On the other hand, it is much more difficult to get a sizable discount here -- actual prices paid are typically lower in the US. Regardless,of price, go watch shopping even if you don't intend to buy anything. The density of boutiques and high end shops is amazing. Geneva in particular will make your jaw drop. Edit: Just noticed that you are in the UK which may change things. I don't know Breitling prices there but my impression is that they are higher than here. I don't know what discounts are typically available there. |

Thanks for the info, "Breitling for buck" was a bit misleading sorry. I am seeing typically 10% discount here so i guess prices are about the same. Looking forward to having a good look around when i there. Going to a town called Thun so hopefully there will be plenty to see. |

I'm not sure what's in Thun in terms of watches BUT at the other end of the lake is Interlaken. There you'll find Kirchhofer which has first-rate selection. Have a look at their website, the brands they carry are very impressive. Enjoy your trip. |
