They are closing out their breitling line. Everything is 40% off. I was looking at chronmat 44 blue face black sub dials. Can get for about 7000. They have chronomat 44 grey dial black subdials with diamond bezel for list 13700, can get it for 8200. Was not thinking about that one but fro 1200 extra I get diamond bezel. Can the dial be changed to a blue dial if I wanted? So is this a good deal? Never saw 40% off anywhere. Have to pull the trigger by tomorrow. Any thoughts ?

A Chronomat 44 retails for over $11,600? I had no idea. 40% off is basically second hand pricing so I think it's a good deal but only you an decide which of the two watches you prefer.

40% off is a great deal. If its a watch you want, go for it.

Yes, but it will cost you. I don't know how much it costs on 01-based watches, but on B13 Chronomats, a dial change ran about $1200, which included the cost of the new dial, plus the cost of a mandatory overhaul. (Breitling won't change the dial without performing an overhaul.) I would expect this to cost more on an in-house model. Moreover, you will forfeit your old dial in the process, and Breitling will not discount the cost of the new dial to compensate.

Well given that in house servicing costs are about $200 higher than regular service it wil be at least that much more.

@ the OP, please don't double post, I have deleted your duplicate topic.

They don't have it. That's the problem not a lot left. Not sure about the diamond bezel. It's a great deal, but diamonds is a lot of bling. Any thoughts?

If you think it works for you then get it. I'm personally not a fan of diamonds except on women.

It's done should have it Tuesday. I will post pic when I have it. Chronomat 44 carbon black dial, diamond bezel. List 13700 paid 8200 not bad? A little blingy, but most breitlings are. The diamonds are not overpowering

Congrats. Which style bezel? Is it the standard single row, or the 60-diamond double row?

Single row

I think those look much nicer than the double row. Breitling's single-row diamond bezels are tastefully done. Also, in this case, it solves the problem of the Buck Rogers bezel font (although it does somewhat impair the bezel's function as a marker of elapsed time).
