Can someone help, I keep getting mixed results when searching on google. On a £1000 GBP Colt II, being sent by EMS (US --> UK) What will I pay in total for VAT and Import Tax ?

Don't know if it's still the same but I've always worked on VAT + 4.5% duty.

So £200 + £45 + about £20 handling charge by courier = £265.

Normally works out about 30%, with the parcelforce handling fees at around £20
