Seller is advertising this watch in the following condition:

Quote:
1 (Mint)
Same as factory new, with very little use. NO faint scratches. Crystal, hands, dial and case original in every way. Used briefly and stored. May be in box. Movement completely original, factory new.

But as you can see on the picture the left hand chronograph is scratched. This causes me to believe that the watch has had some sort of unwanted service/opening.

I'm thinking about reporting it since it clearly isn't equivalent of it's description.

What would you do?

Difficult to tell from this picture.
Could be a dust particle on the lens or the CMOS sensor.
I would be requesting another picture and if the mark is still there than it is scratched.

I see it in the other pictures as well. Not so bright though but it's still there.

Based on that photo, the scratched subdial is the most significant but not the only defect separating this watch from mint. In my brief time looking at used watches for sale online, it seems that many people don't know the meaning of "mint" or "LNIB." (I'm being charitable - I prefer to think them stupid than dishonest.)

If you trade watches professionally, like they do, then describing this item as "mint" is as dishonest as it gets.

I agree that it's dishonest. My statement was tongue-in-cheek.

Even taking the subdial out of it, there are a number of other issues with it that would keep me from listing it as mint, based on that picture, at least.

Just the phrase "same as factory new, with very little use" is a crock. It doesnt even make sense. Its either one or the other.

Or "Just serviced. Comes with 12 months warranty" and than the watch is 30 MINUTES fast per day and in a massive need of a complete overhaul.
Happened to me two months ago when I bought a watch from an allegedly reputable dealer in Germany.
