My sons and I took a little trip today to Le Locle to visit the Musée d'Horlogerie du Locle. First stop was Bergeon where I picked up a 6767-F and some spring bars. There were a lot of beautiful tools there though I have no idea what most of them are for.

The museum was interesting though I think we should have gone to the museum in La Chaux de Fonds instead. I'll hit that one next time. Because the exhibits are all about watche/clock making in Le Locle, there is no Breitling content.

After the museum we headed to La Chaux de Fonds to get something to eat. At a small airport on the edge of town we spotted this:

And about a kilometer away we found this: (Unfortunately, that's as close as I got. I considered knocking on the door but thought better of it.)

This area of Switzerland is quite beautiful. No huge mountains but lots of rolling hills and wonderful little villages. The rapeseed is starting to bloom so every so often there are fields of brilliant yellow flowers. It was a very nice day.

Mods - Sorry if this is the wrong forum -- it was my best guess.

I'm not very knowledgeable about agriculture so your message made me wonder if I'd gotten the name wrong (particularly since I was originally told in French). I looked it up:
http://www.hort.purdue.edu/newcrop/afcm/canola.html
I didn't realize that it's the same thing as canola.

As for knocking on the door, I had visions of a couple of guys big enough to wear Super Avengers "escorting" me from the premises...

Maybe Breiling was bought by Seiko. :wowzers

I think your idea is a good bet but I really don't know.

Flags of countries other than Switzerland are often flown when employees/team members or "honored guests" from said nation are on-site that day/week.

Even though your idea is brilliant Justin, I seriously doubt that the request would have been granted.

I've been in that building, thats the movement factory, its pretty insane how cool it is in there. the real headquarters is a hour or so away in gretchen. its very pretty where you were, rolling hills, very green, much less peaky than most of switzerland. can't wait to go back.

Grenchen or Granges in French. Remember your post, quite interesting Geoff.

So you're saying that all I have to do to get in there is open a jewelry store and become a respected AD? No problem.

It is very pretty there. We live about 1 1/2 hours away where it is much peakier. I love the peaks, especially when standing on the top of them but it's nice once in a while to see rolling hills and open fields.
