All, been going to ask this question for quite some time and have eventually got round to it, the question is, why on the log in page, when I tick the "Remember me" box do I still have to log in every time I visit the site ?.

This happens with both the computer I'm on at the moment (At home)
and the one I use at work, can anyone shed any light as to why this would happen, I do not have the same problem on other forums that I am registered to and once the "Remember me" box is ticked I am logged in straight away every time I visit,

Regards,
The Soulman.

Is it every time?

I'm on here virtually every day and I find I have to log on maybe once a week when (I assume) for some reason the cookie gets deleted.

From other threads I've read, I don't think the server this site is hosted on is the most stable one around so I suspect the problem is there.

Doesn't really bother me other than I loose track of which threads I've already looked at.

Guess this is one for the php whiz kids on here.

I'm not sure what it is causing it either, but yes, the webhost sucks, and I do plan to change eventually. I think part of the problem is PHPBB2 however and it's cookie handling. Another thing I should be upgrading.. perhaps moving to something more reliable that isn't free like VBulletin... but that is another discussion.
