Ok guys, seen this on the Bay. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... otohosting What do you think. ? Looking at the pictures (I know they are not great) what do you think its worth ? I only ask as this piece is close enough for me to view in person ( 8-10 miles away ) so assuming I go and have a look and its genuine what would you give for it ? your help / advice would be much appreciated, Regards, The Soulman. |

Looks fine. I would estimate £400-500. |

I would agree with Sharky, It cost £1085 when new in 2004 and these watches tend to go for about 40% of RRP, a bit more if it's in really good condition or two punters are determined to have it. You can't tell the condition from the photos but looks to be scratches on the inner bezel. This watch has been on before but reserve was not met. A 2004 model on a stainless bracelet went for £800 this week and a 2006 model on a divers strap went for £550 a couple of weeks ago so i reckon if you could get it for under £500 it would be a good deal. I'd say it looks real, but I'd like to see a few more pictures and I'd definitely make sure the warranty matches the serial number etc, but obviously you can check all that when you see it! Personally I'd have said anything less than £600 would be very good deal. |

Looks real and am not aware of fake colts. I'd ask for pictures of the caseback, the warranty book back page and the COSC certificate so you can actually verify it's good as far as that goes. Also specifically ask if the crystal is free from scratches and that the case/bracelet are free from bad dings and scratches. Any light scuffs and scratches you can get rid of with the cape cod cloths. Price is difficult as the others have said - they vary so much and it depends on the day. I bought a nice Colt for as little as £340 - sold it on for £535 (actually for the same watch) - which was subsequently sold on again for £435 - ![]() So: £400 to £450 = Real bargain £500 to £550 = Bargain £600 + = OK if you really want it Only my opinion price wise - could go for £600 plus - eBay's strange like that. Good luck. |
