Hi,
I have been offered a Breitling Emergency 28 (AC) Sqn Limited Edition of only 8 Worldwide and was wondering if I got the serial number and called Breitling would they be able to confirm it's originality?
Many thanks.

Welcome aboard.
They will be able to determine that, but I doubt that they give that info to anyone except AD.
Post a photo in the replica identification section, and you'll get prompt answer.

Thank you.
To be honest I haven't seen the watch.
If I were to give the serial number to my nearest dealer do you think they would be able to get the info from Breitling for me?
And with only 8 worldwide will it make a decent investment?

AD will be able to get that info.
Don't know about investments.
If you can't wait, tell the seller to send you a photo of the watch.

No modern Breitling is going to make a good investment. Logo dial LEs are generally worth less than regular models as they age because the market becomes more limited and the lawas of supply and demand kick in.

As bnewbie says, and AD can validate the serial number, but pictures in the replica section will be enough, the fakes of the Emergency are pretty easy to spot.

Interesting as I thought an Edition of only 8 would at least hold it's value?

If it was a limited edition of 8 made out of ceramic, or carbon fibre, or with a different movement inside or something, then yes it most definitely would hold it's value, and be worth more than standard. However, as Roff said, dial logo limited editions are essentially just that - a logo on the dial of an otherwise standard model. And squadron logos tend to have limited appeal to either aviation nuts, or people from that specific squadron. Some logos pass beyond that and into populat culture a little more - such as the Tomcat logo with the Top Gun connection, etc, but generally speaking logo'd editions are less popular than standard editions.
