Hi Guys,

Been a while since I posted - I'm mostly a lurker. I may have a lead on my first Breilting, it's a well used Aerospace E79362 and I just want to know what kind of offer I should make. The seller lists it at being around 80% condition, pretty beat up body with no boxes or paperwork. Comes with a bracelet that measures 6" off the watch and a perforated leather strap.

It has the serial intact, so I believe I can send it in for service. Will/can Breitling refinish the case, and if so - is it going to cost me an arm an a leg? Any ideas what a fair price would be?

Full service includes case refinishing.

Current Breitling service prices are on the Breitling website once you choose your region - US pricing here - http://www.breitling.com/multimedia/pdf ... v-1219.pdf so $300 for a quartz.

Thank you Roffensian. Do you think they are going to be able to undo the level of damage that this case has? I could only hope that with a service the watch could be closer to original condition.

Not sure that it will be perfect, but you'll be surprosed what they can do.

Hi,

I have recently sold my aerospace which was two tone 18ct gold and titanium and was 13 years old and in very good condition. I got £1100.00 for it.

The Aerospace model has always been Breitlings cheapest watch, i don't know why because the aerospace has so many different features and is a brilliant time keeper.

In my local AD you can get a brand new aerospace for around £2000.00. So i would advise you to make an offer of around £1500.00. But personally i would just search around different AD's as they usually have aerospace's on offer especially as there has been a price drop.

Regarding the service, your looking are £400 - £500 just depending on the model, if you ask you local AD they can give you a price without the watch just the model number.

Hope all this helps.

Jack

This one looks pretty beat up. I'm selling mine which is almost a couple years old. I just recently had it service at breitling about 5 or 6 months ago. Cost me 330 dollars plus an extra 150 for the co-pilot on the bracelet. I have it listed for sale in the sell section as well as ebay. I will go as low as 2500 for it. Payment through paypal is ok.

What do you mean "What" The Aerospace is generally Breitlings cheapest watch. I have had a Aerospace and i have also seen many in AD's and they are always the cheapest of them all. Not saying there a bad watch, because i though my was wonderful, a brilliant watch, light, sturdy, great time keeper, has many features that are very useful.

It doesnt look too bad. Lots of dings, but nothing major. I think theyll be able to get it looking very close to new.

Take the potential cost to service into consideration with any offer you make. Start on the low side. It's a lot easier to raise your offer than lower it.
