I just bought a new Avenger last week. I've noticed the watch gains about a second or two a day. Is this normal for a new watch? I've heard there's a break in time for a watch like this. Or maybe I'm just being paranoid. Either way, it's a bueatiful piece.

Thanks for any help.
Tim

COSC specs are -4 / +6 seconds a day so it's perfectly normal.

New watches do take a while to settle, but your watch is already performing exactly as it should.

Welcome to BreitlingSource.

A second or two a day??? Errrr, that's pretty much as good as you're going to get for a mechanical watch. COSC rating is -4/+6 seconds a day, so at +1 or +2 you are doing rather well.

EDIT - As usual Roff beat me to it.

Yea, That's pretty good, but give it a little while to settle in, but that is very good!

Yep my Cosmonaute, Blackbird and Steelfish are all between 3-5 sec/ day over the past three months. So 2secs is great

Unacceptable. Take it back to the AD and demand a new one. If its not spot on every day it's defective. Think about it, if it's gaining a second a day, in ten years it will be an entire hour fast, is that what you want???
