Where can I find info on the breitling warranty ? Like -- What is it? what do you do if something is wrong? is it transferable? is there deductibles? Is specific maintenance required to keep warranty in effect? Is it available through non-authorized retailers? Is it even worth it? etc... I have their current catalog--- its not in it. I have seen the website - don't see it there either. If its so good to have.. from AD's ... how come I can't see it in writing? |

You get a detailed warranty booklet when you buy a watch. It's a 2 year warranty against defects, but not misuse. You don't have to do anything and there is no deductible, it is transferrable and global. To take advantage all you have to do is take the faulty watch and warranty into any AD. You can only get it from an AD. |

If it breaks or goes out of COSC specs within the warranty, they will fix it. Like Roff said - it doesn't cover misuse. I would also point out, it isn't an insurance policy either. It is "so good to have" because you are spending several thousand dollars for something that relies on a a couple hundred little pieces of metal, meticulously interacting with each other and shit can go wrong with any fine timepiece. Knowing I will pay zero dollars rather than $700 or more if a major issue with the movement develops is worth a lot to me. |

Also, when you ask, "is it worth it," I would ask, in comparison to what? Getting a discount from a gray market seller? Many ADs will discount as much as most gray market sellers, so there's really no downside to going with an AD and getting the warranty, if you're buying new. |
