I'm new to this forum, and I noticed some older posts regarding the lack of attention the Skyracer gets, so I figured I'd give it a post. I find my Skyracer to be not only beautiful, but very functional. The chronograph, in my opinion, is far superior to the 7750s in other watches I own - it's much easier to read at a glance given the red tipped minute hand around the primary dial and the totalizer at 9 o'clock. I also appreciated the utility of the countdown bezel. Sometimes the textured dial appears a deep black, sometimes grey, sometimes it appears to be almost a bronze color. Unlike the Airwolf, I do not find the textured dial to impair the legibility of the watch. It's a very unusual and bold design. Can easily be dressed up or down. Looks great, and VERY nice pictures too ![]() Oh and since you're in SD, you'll be able to take advantage of the Breitling Day one of the AD's is planning on doing ![]() Where did you pick it up? |

That's nice! Good photos too. I like the smooth lines of the case. Seems to work well with both the poliched bracelet and the strap. |

Realizing that the wait could be very long for a used one to hit the market, I posted on a few other forums requesting AD recommendations. I called around and locked in the best discount I could find - which was quite substantial (PM me for AD info). It was shipped in from NYC, so I also avoided sales tax. -FLX |

Those pictures compliment the watch very well. I will definitely be taking a closer look at the Skyracer at my next visit to my AD. |

Nice watch. The guilloche detailing on the dial is amazing. What's next? Rey |

I too have the Skyracer and noticed the lack of information on this site. I was begining to feel like i had the ugly duckling of the range even though i had looked at the brochure and always found myself going back to the Skyracer. I work in an airport so i see hundreds of people every day and i haven't seen one other person with a Skyracer, that's what i like about them! Niall |

Niall When it first came out, people were often saying that it looked a little "un-Breitling-like", but then as so often happens, opinions have slowly been changing to the point now that it's one of the most admired from the Professional range. I think the only thing that puts people off now is the relatively high cost. I think it's a great watch - and the only one from the Professional range (being automatic) that I'd personally own. |

I almost bought one this summer (ended up with the AS Blacksteel instead). I agree that it's a very attractive watch, and I like the innovative chronograph approach of having the hour and minute hand on the same subdial. The price is relatively high relative to similar Breitling pieces, and that probably holds it back slightly. The Professional range is designed to be Breitling's envelope pushing range and I guess that inevitably means that watches may initially be seen as more niche market. |

Niall Thanks for all the positive replies, now i feel like i'm the visionary, taking the chance on a watch that will be a future favorite. I wear it 24hr and when swimming too, am i being careless or is it well able for it? Thanks again Niall |

Skyracer is 200m WR, so no problem to swim with it. |
