Oky, guess not , in description he writes is a 1461 day calendar
Quote:
The Astromat 1461 is a fairly rare watch using the Caliber 19 movement, which is a 1461 day calendar, sometimes called a semi-perpetual. Same case and design as the standard Astromat, but with a more complicated movement.

Astromat is not vintage, but modern Breitling has a perpetual calendar, calibre 29 - http://www.breitlingsource.com/details/B29.html and a semi-perpetual calibre 19 (which this is) - http://www.breitlingsource.com/details/B19.html

Thanks Roff, didn't know there is a modern Breitling with a Perpetual calendar, nice to hear! Hopefully they come out with an inhouse movement version too of the perpetual calendar soon to take it to a different level.

It would be great if they did, but I personally don't think that's at all likely, plus the cost would be HUGE. R&D on new movements cost a fortune and considering Breitling aren't spoken about in the same breath as the likes of Patek, or JLC or Lange, they would have a very VERY limited market for an in-house perpetual calendar watch. The development costs just don't stack up with potential sales, so I'd be very surprised if they ever produced an in-house perpetual calendar movement any time soon, if ever.
