Any thoughts on the CA M1? Pros and cons? |

Hi Roadcarver, I owned a CA M1 for about 3 days a few years back. I'd wanted the yellow dial version for ages after seeing it in the Chronolog and suddenly there was one in my AD's shop window. As it turned out, as soon as I picked it up I was instantly put off by two things - the "cheap" feel of the titanium (I'd never handled a titanium watch before at the time) and the sheer height of it on my wrist (again, this was a few years back before the larger watches were really in vogue). Anyway because I'd wanted it so long I still bought it, but I just never fell in love with it, so literally 3 days later I was back exchanging it for a Superocean. Fortunately my AD let me do that! Looking back, and even though I'm still not really a titanium fan, I was probably a bit hard on the M1. It is still a fantastic watch, and the magnetic push-pieces are a great invention, but nowadays the main thing that personally puts me off is the fact that it's quartz. I'm just too much of a fan of mechanical movements. But if you want a super-functional, tough and good looking diver's chronograph, you could do a million times worse. |

Thanks for the feedback Driver8. I'm actually put off by the quartz movement as well since I'm always been a fan of automatic watches. Since I can longer get an Chrono Avenger, I'm looking at the Skyland now... it is 1mm larger in diameter over the Chrono Avenger and it is in SS, the weigh diff isn't as much over the Chrono Avenger as per Breitling's site. Anyone in the forum has already received their Skyland? |

Yeah.. only about 10gram difference in weight.. but that's only the head. If you plan to wear them on Bracelet, the Skyland is gonna be much heavier... |
