First posting for me...

Hi, all. I'm about to buy a Breitling for my husband for our 10 year, but I'm in Turkey and the dealers here have very few in stock. I'm hoping someone can explain what colors the following models look like in person. Specifically, do the first two look light or dark, and do they look blue or green? And does the white on white look good?

Graphite with graphite subdials
Slate with black sub
White on white
Black on white

He's mentioned that he likes black or white watches. He's 35, sportsy and casual. I like monochrom or close to it better than white on black. The slate is in stock so it would be the easiest but I could hold out for the order.

Thanks so much,
LA

of dials for your husband....

Only one EVO in the mix but it is the slate dial/black subs and it is shown with many different background colors. IMO, it is by far the best dial choice for an EVO. The slate is not only very, very legible at a glance, it seems to wear well with just about ANY color attire. My wife is the one who kept telling me that when I was looking at another watch and admittedly she was correct. The slate has become my favorite dial color of all my Breitlng chronos and it gets almost as much wrist time as my B-1. Hope this helps. :D
Cheers,
Ron

PS. Here is a preview of the dial color. Much better views on the slideshow....

Thanks so much, Ron! It's so hard to tell from the pix but it looks bluish sometimes and purplish sometimes... is that right?

Og all those you listed, I really like the white on white. Its gives the watch a bit more presence on the wrist, and would look great if upgraded with a diamond bezel :)

I have the Blue with white subdials myself.

For info, any bluish/purplish tinge is probably because of the anti-reflective coating on the crystal. You only tend to notice it at certain angles, but I personally quite like it anyway! :)

is caused by the AntiReflective coating. From some angles it does indeed appear purplish for the same reason. The dial itself is truly a beautiful slate grey and that is how it does appear most of the time. The slate color does seem to blend best with blues or light greens but looks great with black or any color IMO. Below are a few shots with different lighting which may give you a better sense of the slate. BTW, if the slate is the EVO which is in stock and available now, I only have one question. Why isn't your husband already wearing it?... :D
Cheers,
Ron
