Do you guys trust the watch repair people in kiosks at the mall to remove links on your Breitling?

Personally, I would not trust anyone other my AD to do any work on my Breitling, however simple it may be. That's why I am loyal to one AD, and I have the confidence that whatever work gets done will be to my satisfaction. Having said that, they did recently remove too many "links" (if you can call it that on the rubber of an Ocean Racer strap) so that there is no play in the strap at all once it is on my wrist. The point, however, is that I didn't even have to complain. I just stated what the problem with the strap is, and that it didn't seem right to me, and they did not hesitate to order the rubber part for me at no charge, and when it arrives will fix it for me. If that happened anywhere else, with a Breitling bracelet or strap, I think I can safely say you would be out of luck.
Cheers,
Carl

I would let them as long as they had a correct screwdriver to do it. Its pretty hard to f*ck anything up besides the screws when sizing a bracelet.

Simple answer - no. I would not leave anything as valuable to those guys.

No, I would not trust a mall kiosk person with any watch of mine. My niece works at one for $7.00 an hour.

However, I have two great jewelers who have watch makers on staff, the owners and staff are knowledgable, so there is no reason not to trust them with by Breitling. Good jewelers appreciate good pieces, even if they don't sell them.

Difficult one, I don't think it's the place, but the person who does it. A local kiosk may be owned by someone doing it for 30 years and knows what he/she is doing. Your AD may have a new start who could balls it up! Obviosly, you wouldn't go to a kiosk for anything technical

Just do it yourself, it is very easy. Seriously. And if you feel unsure on how to do it, just watch Admin´s videoclip on how to do it before.

:yeahthat as long as you are using the correct screwdriver for the job. Don't try to improvise or there'll be tears.
