I have a B1 at the min 10 year old but mint! I have an opportunity of trading it for a aerospace ltd edition Vulcan it is mint and unworn. Problem is I love both but just can't make my mind up, as I cant afford to keep both. I know price comes into it but bottom line is my B1 and £700 the aerospace Vulcan is mine so lads what would you do?
Also does anyone know what the rrp was on the ltd edition aerospace E7936210 Vulcan breitling was?
I think it was only available at Andrew micheals and there were only 200 done in the cream dial.
Many thanks
Thanks

Another invaluable contribution from Twotone540!

A lot of people (me included) feel that the a vs. b discussions come down to personal choice, and in this case that is even more the case.

It's a very specific LE vs. a watch that has been with you for 10 years - it's really only a choice that you can make around what has the most meaning to you. How would you feel about parting with a watch that you have owned for 10 years? Does the Vulcan have special meaning to you? How would you feel if you passed up the Aerospace?

May be not much more constructive in terms of specific advice, but I think that you need to be comfortable in your own mind about it.

Hi Paul,
Whatever you do, you'll always go back to a B1. (Is this the blue one i sold you last year ?. Your fourth if i remember correctly ! ). Not sure about the RRP on the Vulcan, but i'm sure Sam at Andrew Michaels said i could have one for £2.5K last year. Steve

Thanks for that, sorry I've not had the B1 for
10 years  I meant it is 10 years old and I do
Like it a lot, problem I have is I also like the aerospace.
I have no connection to the Vulcan just liked the ltd
Factor of it.
Thanks

If you're eyes can still appreciate slide rule on the B-1, I'd place that over the Aerospace every time.

Sadly, with fading eyesight, I said goodbye to by B-1 and got an AM F-4 Aerospace LE as a worthy replacement.

Still prefer the countdown bezel though! :D

Now you see, much as I respect Sharkmouth - I have to say that I always wondered why they put a countdown bezel on a watch with a countdown timer :huh . I had the B1 which was a beautiful watch but always wished that it had a compass bezel like the Emergency. THEN along came the Airwolf and to me it was the perfect watch - needless to say, I still have it and love it to bits.

I agree about the slide rule and failing eyesight - I must admit that I struggle with my slide rule as my eyesight is fast on its way out :( .

Personally, I would not get rid of my Airwolf for a LE Aerospace (unless it was something really special with a very special/significant relevance) but that is just MHO. So, if you love your B1 - why not stick with it? :cheer: .

Check out using the functions on the Aero compared to the 3 button B1, its easier on the B1 in certain functions. The answer is find a B1 Vulcan LOL.

Having owned an Airwolf (similar if not almost identical to the B-1) & an Aerospace, I would keep the B-1. My reasoning is as swiss1 brought up, the functioning of the single button on the Aerospace is a pain in the -ss; also trying to adjust time & date can be another pain. The backlight function (if yours has one) is much easier to deal with on the B-1. The weight of the Aerospace was also something I could not get used to after I got used to heavier watches. All that being said, if you plan on running a marathon, you might be better off with the Aerospace!
