As for the watch itself, the a13352 is one of my favorite Breitlings, if not my very favorite. If it looks good and you like it, I would snap it up in a heartbeat if I were you.

Shark, is that blue or black? I'm guessing blue, but I can't tell if the color I'm seeing is the dial or the AR. Either way, it's fantastic. IMO, the a13352 is as good as the Chronomat ever got. You want bigger? Go for a Crosswind. Either way, the Windriders circa 2002 were a high-water mark for the line, and for the brand.

Hello there all I have a question for those with a little more Breitling experience than I have. Ok so I'm really diggin an a13352 chronomat 39 mm white dial. Now I went into my jewelers today to pick up my wife's ring that was having a diamond replaced and we got to talking watches (which I normally do not buy from him). He was telling me that he has one at his other location that he just took in from someone as a trade towards an engagement ring with box, papers. When I asked him how the condition was he told me it was spotless and it was originally purchased late December 2008 so practically 2009. My question for you guys is, is this possible? The watch was retired in 2004 I believe so is it possible an AD had one sitting around that long? I I appreciate the help guys also I seem to see them online anywhere between $1300 to $2600 depending on condition he's looking for $1800 is this a fair mark? Thanks again for your help!

Jewellers quite often have stock sitting around for years then offer massive discounts to sell them. Someone bought a emergency the other day on here with 60% off as was old verson and quartz so assume that to be 8 years old but warranty car would say 2012!! As for price I'm not sure in $ as I'm in uk so maybe someone else can advise.. If u like it then wouldn't worry bout age aside holding time but be prepared for service in coming years.

See that's another question he told me that his watchmaker opened it up and it looks great won't need to worry about an overhaul for at least two years any thoughts? I usually would service round this age. Told me they checked pressure and all gaskets and it looks like a safe queen.

First super watch and wares really well at 39mm. For a Ad to have an ONS would not be out of the question but would be unusual. Either way at 1.8k$ if its on a pilot its not a bad price SH or not. If its a very reputable dealer Ad or not its sounds OK to me...... BUT as always private sale or not BUY THE SELLER FIRST and as with any thing if it sound to good to be true, well you know the rest.... Good luck with it.

There's another thread about service intervals and very mixed opinions., in my eyes if it's pressure testing ok and is keeping good time I wouldn't worry about service until it starts losing time.. I wear my bentley nearly every day and after 4 years it's keeping perfect time so haven't bothered with service but if it's something ur unsure about then maybe try negotiate the price of a service into your purchase price.. Prices to me is what your willing to pay and others about, We have alot of watches in uk left on the shelf going cheap. I got my Bentley brand new a year old for £2.500

I think it needs servicing - the oil's been breaking down for 8+ years, but...... In this case I wouldn't be too concerned, because you can get it serviced under warranty at any point in the next 2 years.

Not routine maintenance, but go in after 23 months and say "this 'new' watch that you sold me 23 months ago is actually 5 years old and now the timekeeping is inconsistent and the power reserve has dropped". No AD worthy of the name (and granted that's not all of them) will argue about sending it to Breitling for servicing under warranty.

I always thought I preferred black-dial watches, but there's something about a Chronomat in blue that is special. Do you feel limited by it, in terms of coordinating, or is it pretty universal? It looks like a fairly muted blue, not too bold.
