I have my heart set on a Navi World for my first watch. I think it is worth every penny, but want to take all precautions that I can. Here is my list, what do you think:

- I have been looking on the following sites for one: this website, ebay, and watchuseek.com
- Research other posts/reputation of the seller
- find a local shop to the seller to verify its authenticity (I have found the cost to be about $35)
- Request the seller to test how far off the watch is after 48 hours
- Find a escrow service to ensure

Am I being too conservative? I don't want to get taken advantage of and

Welcome...You don't say where you are.
I personally think you should:
1) If buying a new watch, buy from an AD.
2) If buying used, buy from a trusted forum member.
It seems to be very dangerous out there.
You may talk to a member here who can guide you to a trustworthy person.
Good luck....and good hunting.

Thanks for the advice. I live in Arizona, looking for a pre-owned one to save a few $$.

I bought my navitmer (used) from Righttime.com and they were excellent to work with. They are located in Colorado and have 2 stores where you can view their merchandise. I bought mine online. Happy hunting!

Contact forum members Fear or jnelson3097 by PM, both AD's. They have supplied numerous forum members with new & used watches.
You can also search the Buy/Sell/Trade & Dealer's Sale Corner Forums.

Try Hamra or Ganem both in North Scottsdale and both have pre-owned watches. A Navi World will not be the easiest to find pre-owned, plus you have a couple of dial colors to choose from. You could also check ED Marshals in Scottsdale as they have a pretty good pre-owned section.

You'll have no worries buying from these sellers.

I think all the precauations you want to take sounds good on paper but you will not easily find sellers that are going to bring their watch somewhere to have it authenticated. They will tell you "I know the watch is real"

I would really consider buying new, Breitlings have been known to be had "well discounted" and with two 3 large AD's Tournea, Hamra and Ganem all in town you could/can play them for the best deal.

I have a Navi Heritage for sale here on the forum if you can live without the GMT hand :lingsrock:
