Post subject:  Decision time

Hey guys! Thanks for all of the info on the board!

I've finally rounded up the cash, but I'm stuck with a decision. I'm a flight paramedic. I'm trying to decide between the Super Avenger, likely with a black dial, or a Skyland Avenger, blue or black dial. I'm curious to see everyone's take, although I already know where the "Full Ling Club" guys are gonna go. With the SA, I may never maintain flight weight. :D. The other consideration is that the SA would come from an Authorized Dealer...he offered a deal below the internet sites...while the Skyland would likely be from authenticwatches.com.

Thanks in advance for the input!

I'd absolutely go with the SA, unless your wrists are really tiny. I like the SA better because of the size, but then if you get it for a good price at an AD that beats authenticwatches every day.

For the flight weight, keep the SA on and stop eating those chocolate bars instead... ;)

And last but not least - welcome to the forum!

SA or AS have the same retail price, I believe, so I wouldnt let price get in the way. If you can get offered below internet on the SA, you can find someone to give it to you on the AS too. If its your first B, nothing beats buying one fresh and nice from the AD.

I personally dont like the blue AS. I had only seen the gray and blue dials before I bought the black one. The gray is amazing too.

They are both practically the same watch. The SA is much bigger and thicker, although the AS is no slouch. I would think it should just come down to which one fits your wrist better, and get that one.

:yeahthat agree.............

...................I'd go SA all the way but what suits really.

And :welcome: to the forum.

The issue is that there isn't an AD in town...even a town the size of Charleston. I'm dealing with an AD in Charlotte. So I have actually never seen a Skyland in the flesh...only via pictures. I'm 6'2" tall, so I figure I probably have the size to pull off the SA. I just wonder about the versatility of a watch of that size.

im not a huge fan of either watch to be honest. but i think the only important advice anyone could give someone else on a watch purchase is to buy the one that you like more. the watch is for you and no one else after all. with the SA youre probably more likely to run into someone with the same watch as you, if thats important to you.

if it were me, id buy the SA just because you havent seen the skyland in person, and you already know you like the SA for sure.

You could always go with a different AD that is willing to ship it to you, or even get in on a group buy ;)

Either way, I say SA as well :p

Alright...pulled the trigger on the Super Avenger, black face classic style with the arabic numerals. I believe that makes me a member of the "Full Ling Club," does it not? :) It'll be here on Wednesday...time cannot pass quickly enough.
