Post subject:  How hard is it to find the Colt Automatic

Hi all, I'm new to the forum and the world of Breitling. I am in the market for an "basic" model. More specifically I'm looking for a non chronograph automatic model. Based on some convos with friends and some internet searching i think the Colt series might be a good fit ...but my local AD informed me today the "new" Colt models are all quartz and had my try on the "abyss" divers series. i have an Oris divers date that i love and feel the two watches might be a bit too similar. The red or yellow ring and general style of the watches were a bit too sporty for my taste. I live in Alberta Canada. is it hard to find the Colt automatic model? Have they infact been discontiued? any suggestions for other models?

thanks!

Yes discontiuned. Some can still be found in ADs. Check the pre-owned sales threads - many excellant ones available at good prices. Be patient.

Hope you find one.
I've had mine about seven years. Colt GMT.

Like the chronos, but the Colt seemed a better fit for my skinny wrist (and wallet). Plus, I like the added GMT complication.

Though my wife thinks I'm nuts that I want to send it in for $350 service because it's -12s/24h.
I think it'd be money well spent.

Goose, thats a good looking watch! Spend the money! I love the blue face on the Colt.

Ricardo, I'll take a look right now. How difficult is it to ship to Canada?

Thank you Chris.
I really like the watch. More as time ticks away. Don't know why.
The pic doesn't show the concentric 3D rings on the dial. The attention to detail Breitling exhibits is impressive.

Yeah, I should pony up to get it serviced. It deserves it.

Thanks again Chris. Keep us posted on your Colt quest.
