How do you think the U-Boat stacks up against the Avenger Skyland? The U-Boat watch is a 50mm case. I couldn't resist purchasing this big boy when I was checking out some watches at my AD.

nnikolaus,

I had the opportunity to try on a U-Boat flightdeck about 2 weeks ago and have been thinking about purchasing one ever since. I wouldnt mind getting your opinion on it over the next little while once you've had a chance to wear it for awhile.

Cheers..

In my honest opinion right now, I wish I would have purchased the Super Avenger. The U-Boat is a quality watch but does not compare to Breitling. It just does not have the same sturdiness or heft of the Breitling SA and Skyland. I had the same problem as you, I kept thinking about this watch after seeing them and could not pass up the deal, so I pulled the trigger. Make sure to do your home work before you purchase, at full retail they are a bit over priced.

Thanks for the honest opinion there. I think a few guys on here have looked at U-Boats, so it's good to hear the words of an owner of one.

nnikolaus,

After calling 3 or 4 AD here in Canada that's what came to mind, they were charging more for the U-Boat than I paid for my Super Avenger. I certainly wasn't expecting them to cost so much but I have to admit I really like the look and feel of that watch. I've come to point where I will be looking for one on a Sales Corner or if I can get a really good discount.

There is something about that U-Boat that has my attention but for that price, there are a number of deals on Breitlings that can be had.
