Is anyone else's serial number on the back of their navitimer world barely legible. I can only see mine at an angle in a certain lighting environment. It doesnt look like anyone tampered with it, just looks like it has been worn down. anyone know why they make the serial number so faint? |

You say you KNOW the watch is real : has it been authenticated by Breitling (and I mean actually by Breitling and not just an AD)? I'd personally be a little concerned about a "trusted seller" selling you a watch with incorrect paperwork...... You best bet for a start would be to post up some decent quality pictures of the watch on here and we will be able to confirm the authenticity pretty quickly. Assuming the watch is authentic, then yes if it's been polished/refinished, the serial number can become a little hard to read. There are instances of even Breitling service centres actually polishing casebacks so much that the serial is essnetially polished off. Serial numbers on Breitlings are random nowadays, but if the watch has been in to Breitling for a service, they will certainly have a record of it. Not sure where you are based, but you should contact your regional service centre direct (i.e. BUSA, BUK, etc) if you want to know about service history of a specific watch. First step though, as I said above, would be to post us up some pictures for authentication purposes. |

Thanks. i'll post pics in the other replica forum. Also, i brought it in to the AD and they adjusted the links for me. I would hope they would have told me it was a fake! Driver8, Would you mind if i PM'd you the link from TZ just so i can get your opinion? |
