Hi all, as some if you may know I've been after a Breitling Headwind, well I've found One, I'd like your opinions on the asking price, details are, watch is 03 / Blue dial / polished case and (Pilot) bracelet, condition is quoted as mint (10/10) watch comes with all original Breitling paperwork and boxes. 12 Months guarantee / 7 day full refund policy. I have seen pics of the actual watch / papers, etc and it does appear to be in excelent condition. Seller is UK (London) based and has many excellent feedback comments from satisfied customers contained within his website. Asking price is £1505 delivered, Regards, The Soulman. |

Sounds expensive, but im not completely familiar with UK pricing. It seems a lot for US though. |

The watch you're after was listed around $4600 CDN (before taxes) in 2005. If it's mint it sounds like a fair price. You can always try for a discount too since it's discontinued. |

Price seems ok for Europe, especially if it's really minty. |

I know it is more expensive in the UK than it would be in the states, problem is, by the time I've paid the average in the states for an eample in the same condition / with papers etc, ($2000-$2400) plus the carriage and UK import tax, there is little or no difference. Its much less hassle buying from someone in the UK and should there be any problems the seller (In this case) is easily contactable. I'm off on holiday to the states (Florida) in a few weeks time and would have waited until then if I had been sure I could get my hands on one, but as the Headwind is a discontinued model they are rather difficult to get hold of, Regards, The Soulman. |

If it's mint then it's reasonable for the UK. The one in the eBay link I sent you was up for $3499 with the option of a Best Offer, so at $3000 it would've been a comparable price..... although this one you are looking at is in the UK, so no import to worry about. |

Thanks for that Driver8, I have watched (Pardon the pun) that guy trying to sell the Headwind that you linked me to, for 6 weeks that I know of. He originally had it on as starting bid $3,500 and buy it now $3,999 he must have advertised it like this 4/5 times that I know of, obviously without any success. Incredibly (To me at least) in his last attempt at selling it, (The link you supplied) it went to $4,400 or best offer, again I was watching, the following is the ONE offer he received, User ID Offer Price Offer Status Date of Offer c***c US $4,200.00 Declined 25-Jun-08 18:44:25 So, weeks before, he was willing to take starting bids of $3,500 and sell it for $3,999, he gets no interest so changes tack, does a buy it now of £4,400 or best offer, and TURNS DOWN an offer (The only one) of $4,200 you work it out if you can, but I certainly would'nt let him near any business of mine, Regards, The Soulman. |

Wow, it seems like the seller is being a bit of a joker if he's refusing offers of $4200! ![]() ![]() |
