Let me see.....From what I read, It's a used watch that they want people to pay over $15,000.00USD?

OK I'm not bidding but I'm guessing it will land at $80K U.S. or more. I know one retired U.S. Navy pilot that would consider $80K for a Breitling that had been on the last NASA shuttle mission to be a rounding error on his annual entertainment expenses. He's done well for himself as a former Top Gun instructor and then an airline captain. (His timing was great...)

Any other guesses?

I have # 270 and got it for 20% off MSRP. It is a great watch but I do not need another one.

Expensive, but I can see the value for an aviation or aeronautic buff. Its a dream auction.

One thing that confuses me is whether this exact watch was passed around and worn by everybody into space, or if this LE model of watch has been worn by these guys into space. The description seems like it can go either way.

Hmmm............... none on eBay (yet). Get bidding folks, it's for a good cause. Not sure I'd want a watch that had done that many miles.

:uplaugh:

Apparently this is number one of a limited edition:

The first made timepiece will have a travel around the world with navy pilots throughout 2011, and the destination will be in Washington, D.D. on December 3, 2011. The travels of the Breitling Watches limited edition airwolf will be recorded and the log will be presented with the watch at the ceremony.

And so what?

It's up to $49k! Maybe I should auction mine "worn by a real Sergeant Major, not in combat, but in the office"......I could easily get what, $4k? :D
