Anyone have advice on a store that sells diamond bezels, particularly for a Bentley GT?

I'm thinking the value is in buying from an aftermarket diamond bezel setter who knows what they are doing?

Any advice would be appreciated

Breitling and Rolex specialist in the world. :lingsrock:

The Problem is by buying from an after market seller you void your warranty. if you buy from Breitling your warranty is intact providing your watch is still under warranty. If not buy from an after market seller.

You can't buy diamond bezels from Breitling, only watches that have them from the start.

If you buy a Breitling that comes with a diamond bezel, will Breitling sell a standard bezel separately, as an alternative?

Nope.

I guess that you could con an AD into ordering a replacement bezel as that is a repair that ADs can do, but Breitling won't knowingly sell you one because they consider it to be changing the watch.

The only possibility, and it's just speculation on my part, would be to send it to Breitling and see if they will officially change the model - kind of like with a dial change. I'm guessing that the answer will still be no, but it is just a guess.

Very rare to see a factory diamond bezel on eBay though.

Putting on an aftermarket diamond bezel won't invalidate the warranty. Changing the bezel (on anything other than a Navi) isn't a "case invasive" procedure, so it's effectively no worse than changing a strap. As a result the warranty remains intact.

As Roff said, getting hold of an OEM bezel is nigh on impossible as Breitling will not sell them separately. And just a word of warning regarding aftermarket bezels - the quality of both the stones and the setting varies MASSIVELY, so I'd strongly advise against buying sight-unseen. And even at the very top end of aftermarket work, it will never be as clean as OEM work, purely because of how a standard bezel needs to be physically cut into to accept the setting. If you are vaguely anal about fit and finish, I'd say steer well clear of aftermarket rocks.

It's a bit beside the point of this thread, but I think it's too bad Breitling has this policy. I wouldn't ever buy a Breitling that has a diamond bezel standard, since it would mean I would never have the choice of wearing it without diamonds. However, I could possibly see myself having one as a secondary option that I could switch out as desired. I think the basic diamond bazel for the Chronomat 44 (not the 60-diamond version) is pretty tastefully done, as far as diamond bezels go. As you say, a bezel change is roughly equivalent to changing the strap, so why not have the option of switching it? It's a win for the consumer, plus Breitling would open itself up to a market from which it is currently closed off.

At least, they thought they did. Rules are changing and it is becoming a whole new ball game.
