Out of curiousity, on the topic of strap swopping, anyone who has multiple straps and say a blue dial ever try combining say black calf with blue calf? (or rubber) Maybe bring a sportier look or is that just too taboo? I only have a Pro II bracelet. I think it might look good in that specific combo.. Maybe not with anything else. Any one brave enough to try it out? or has it been done before... lets see some pics..

So.. on the upper strap (12:00) do black and the lower strap (6:00) blue

Black looks great with a blue dial. I've never been brave enough to put brown on a blue dial, but some here do. I certainly don't think you need a blue strap just because the dial is blue.

I also have black rubber for this. Like em both but probably the rubber better. Blue rubber is nice, blue calf, not really a fan of.

I have a blue dialed steelfish that I put OR rubber deployment on along with both tan and brown calf. The brown and tan really make the dial pop.

No what I'm saying is doing it half and half.. one of the straps blue, the other strap black...

Novacastrian, take that blackbird and go blue upper strap and black lower strap.. You've got a sweet watch to do it with Blue with black subs.. it may look sweet. (actually just noticed that's a croco black strap.. if you have a black calf of the same size, try that)

I get the other aspects of it (I have a black hammy with a brown leather strap and it looks good despite the people who may not like it)

Well, IMHO I think that putting two different coloured straps on the same watch would just look downright odd. The first thing that sprung to mind was when you see teenage girls walking around town wearing odd shoes or socks - they get away with it because they are teenage girls, think they are being trendy and they will grow out of it :D .

Now before I get the knock on the door from the police or banned from here - NO, I am not into under age girls okay? :wowzers :guns:
:lingsrock:

I actually wondered if that might be what you meant. I think it would look a little silly. Gimmick is the word i'd use.

Seriously? :poke: Obviously whatever anyone personally likes is their deal. But since you asked, I'm not thinking you will get many "great idea" responses here.

Fair enough. I thought it might be a little taboo.

I don't think that it's 'taboo', just a bit weird :huh

That would definitely be different to say the least.
