Only an LE of 2,000 though, and obviously they still had some red paint left over.

I wish it would have stayed retired. Like Michael Jordan, it was better pre-retirement.

What's up with that hideous bezel and stupid rider tabs? And let's take away the nicest feature of the watch, the facet bracelet. Effin idiots at Breitling; they should all be fired.

It is the Chronomat 44 with a Blackbird dial and movement plopped in. Except for the gross red date surround and even worse - chronomat 44 hours markers and the loss of the famous BB lume. Not sure how many strikes that is, but I'm sure it is time for the next batter to hit.

The only "new" watch i like is the Heritage 44. Perfect size, nice watch.

I can't believe they put gold bezels on the superocean...tag anyone?

That is hideous!! I just joined and picked up my first Breitling in late December from an AD, a Blackbird Blackeye Blue. I was happy with the purchase before and after seeing this I'm even happier I was able to get the old version.....

As many have stated, to me it looks like a hodge-podge of left over parts from: BB red strike (date wheel), Chrono Glactic (Bezel), B01 LE (bracelet) and a red tip hand. No in house movement is the biggest let down for me. But it's not entirely bad, especiallly if you are new to Breitling.

Disappointing. I'm waiting for the new Blackbird, and this is not what I had in mind at all.

As expected! The red really kills it for me.

And who in their right mind would buy this for probably twice the price as what a nice Blackbird can be picked up for.

Today I pick up my Steelfish, and am convinced more than ever I am going in the right direction, which I guess can be stated as back to the future.

I'm going to add more constructive criticism. I am clearly in the minority regarding the bezel font. I believe it is here to stay, and I like it.

I don't mind red accents. In fact, I own a Chronomat 01 LE, so clearly I like the red accents. That being said, I do not like the red around the date window but white font on the date wheel. They both need to be one colour in this dial in my opinion.

The case etc is all fine, but I do miss the faceted bracelet.

Finally, and most importantly, it is not in-house.

I was expecting a new Blackbird, first release LE, in-house, new bezel font, dial with some red accents, faceted bracelet, and of course a display back. If that was the case, I would be going to my AD today to make a deposit.

The biggest part of this piece that prevents me from going down to my AD is the lack of an in-house movement, and the inconstant use of the red accenting.

This goes along with the new TO 1461, if it was in-house, I would be all over it. I see no reason to discontinue the Blackbird then release it with the exact same movement.

The LUME! They took away the killer lume!!! This suggests the new BB, when it isrelased, will have this stupid dial addition/omission. The lume is one of the nicest parts of a BB dial.......................
