Post subject:  Skyracer Winding Interval

I've got a Skyracer and when I leave it on the dresser for about 18 hours (stopwatch off) it winds down and stops. I think Breitling advertises 42 hours winding life for this model. Just wondering if anyone else has data that matches mine or if mine has an issue. All other functions seem fine and it keeps good time. Second question: I am buying a winder. Does anyone know which direction and how many turns a day these watches should have to stay wound?
Thanks.

Sounds to me like you've just not wound it enough. You can't overwind an automatic watch, so give it 60, 70 or even 80 turns manually to fully wind it up. I bet it will last a lot longer than 18 hours then. If it doesn't then it's got a problem.

:yeahthat

In terms of turns and direction, it's been linked a few times here, but the Orbita database is very helpful - http://orbita.com/2010_web/NEW/WatchDatabase.htm

As you can see there, the Skyracer is 650 turns per day in either direction.
