Hi All

Hoping every one had an excellent X-Mas and new years . I am thinking of adding a Montbillant Datora to my collection and I was looking for any info about the Breitling 21 movement I know its a modified Valjoux 7751 but since this is the only watch to use this modified movement , my concerns are with reliability. Any info would be appreciated . Thanks

Ive had my datora since 2006. Was the first breitling I bought and I still love it. Never had a problem at all. Just as reliable as every other Breitling I own. I would have no hesitation to buy again if I was back in 2006

Well it certainly isn't the only watch to use a 7751, just the only Breitling.

7751 has been around since the mid 1980s and it's derived from the 7750 that is probably the most widely used Swiss chronograph movement so track record for reliability and resilience is pretty well established.

In the late 90's and 2000's a great many watch companies used the 7751 for watches ,for example the Eterna 1948 moon phase chrono from 2006 , Sinn The Classic /sporty chrono ,and the Sothis Chrono / Spirit of the moon from 1999. all nice looking watches all sporting similar face configurations as the Datorta . I'm just happy its a reliable movement. Thanks again.
