Post subject: | On holiday to New york |
Hi guys I am new to this site although I have been reading for a few months now also I have owned a breitling for many years now. Loving the pics of all the watches I will try and add some soon. In February I am going to New York (40th birthday present from wife) and would like to purchase a super avenger ![]() What is the current rrp in US of a SA with professional steel bracelet? Is it possible to get any discount on rrp? What is the current rrp in UK of a SA with professional steel bracelet? Is it possible to get any discount on rrp? If my budget can’t quite make a new model what should I be expecting to pay for maybe a 12month old good as new model both UK and US. Also any recommendations for were to buy either UK or US New York will be gladly listened to. (If this is in the wrong post very sorry and feel free to move to were appropriate) Thanks in advance, Jay ![]() |

You can get the msrp on the Breitling web site, selecting your model, and using "My Breitling Made to Measure". Alternatively, authenticwatches.com has many models, and shows the list prices. For used watches, check the closed sales on ebay, or some ads here, to see what they're going for. Discounts are generally available in the U.S.; it's just a question of how much. |

I really wouldn't be going to NY looking for a large discount. Don't forget the high sales tax. |

the only ADs that are accessible and I believe available in NYC are the tourneau chains. They WILL NOT give any discount whatsoever in my experience and demand full retail prices. They are probably the single worst place to buy a watch from in my opinion. |

There's a ton of AD's in NYC. Wempe is another. Wempe offers upto 20% in my recent experience. Tourneau are A-holes for sure but are currently offering 20% back when you finance through them, which is pretty cool. They are also offering 18 mos no interest. I would also check out the Breitling store on 57th store, (even though they dont offer discounts its a beautiful boutique.) Good luck! |

You could always have it shipped to your hotel from an out of state AD like this member did. viewtopic.php?f=7&t=33900 |

I think the SA on SS retails for something around £4350. I bought mine from Goldsmiths about a year ago and managed to get 15% off the rrp which was £3650 at the time. You will probably find a better deal with Andrew Michaels Jewellers than the high street stores. |

Quote: You could always have it shipped to your hotel from an out of state AD like this member did. No brainer. NYC stores are not going to give you the discounts you'd get from the friendly ADs on this site. Don't forget to declare your purchase at customs on your return to Blighty! Why anyone would post the box/papers back home rather than carry them is beyond me! ![]() |

I took my box and papers with me, thinking "they're never there when I go back" and precisely that day there were 3 people looking into people's bags. Fortunately I simply walk in front of them with a smile in my face (inner smile). Anyway, going back to the topic, get it shipped and save the tax. Also, get a great price. It has worked for me every time. |
