Hi guys,

I left my 'Wolf with the AD here in the UK on Tues 3rd Jan - I am waiting to hear back from them regarding a quote for the work (mini or quartz service required etc). My question, roughly how long is it normally until you hear back from an AD with the quote. I realise that the watch is normally away for around 6 - 8 weeks but wondered roughly when to expect the call with the quote. Thanks in advance.

Doesn't anyone have an answer to my question  ? Perhaps I can word it differently :| .

When the watch goes to BUK, I assume that it is booked in - does the watch then sit around for say, 3 or 4 weeks in a queue? Is that the point that somebody has a look at the watch to decide that it only needs a battery or it needs a full service? Does the specialist then contact you/AD and discuss the quote and based on your decision the work is then carried out over several weeks?
OR
Is an assessment made when the watch arrives at BUK during the booking in process - contacting you/AD in that process with the quote? Then does the watch go into a queue to await the next available specialist (which could be say 4 - 6 weeks)?

Thanks very much Merc,

As luck would have it, my AD has just contacted me with the quote this afternoon. They are expecting my watch to be ready in about 3 weeks from tomorrow :D

Are you willing to mention how much they have quoted? :lingsrock:

No problem Andrew :D .

Now, bearing in mind that this is through my local AD (Lister Horsfalls in Halifax) who have sent it to BUK so this is probably slightly more than BUK would quote alone....

For the full service and hands change which includes:-
Battery change
Seals change
Movement calibration check/adjustment
Case and strap polish
New (non skeleton) hands

It comes to £17? (can't remember exactly) but let's call it £180. I thought that it was going to be more and so this came as a pleasant surprise :D .

Only 3 weeks to go and I can't wait :plot: .
