These two movements seem to be some of the most complicated that Breitling makes. Both have a chronograph, perpetual calendar, and moon phase and additionally B29 shows the week, season, and takes into account leap year. From what I can gather, both of these movements are based on the modular movement ETA 2892-A2. My question is, did Breitling design and manufacture these additional complications, or did another company supply them, similar to the Dubois chronograph modules?

They are not Breitling produced, but not sure where they are sourced from. I assume not DD as that would tend to be chronograph only.

The chronograph is independent from the motion works. I'm guessing here because I've never pulled one down, but I would suppose that the chrono is a DD similar, if not identical, to the one used on the other Breitling 2892 platforms.

The complications are all part of the motion works. I have no idea who makes them for Breitlng. It may well be that DD makes the entire platform. They do make a perpetual calendar, so it is quite possible they can produce this as well.

Of course, the real challenge is getting it all put together so the date, DOW, and month all change at the same time as closely as possible.

It only follows that it costs more to have one of these serviced.
