Has anyone had any experience with these guys ? I sent them a mail asking if they could send the watch as a gift and they that they could do that. This would save me tons of money.. but im just curious if they are legit.

not a problem. I ship to Europe all the time , and never declare the value of the watch. We always remove any tags with prices and always send them in separate mail along with your invoice. The watch is usually declared as a "gift" , or a "watch repair" with the repair cost of $100. It works. Please do not worry. Please add $150 USD for shipping to Norway. Payment for this watch can be made via bank wire transfer only.

Don't know anything about these guys and can't get eBay at work - blast.

I recently bought online from the US and the declared value was slightly "underestimated" which reduced the duty payable - better to pay something rather than try to pay nought!

Oh - to the madhouse by the way.

I would advice not to try to underestimate the watch. The seller is, at least if in the US, committing a crime and I think you are too if asking them to underestimate the watch. Sure, it might save you money but you're gambling for trouble here.

Also, if you declare a value of $100 and then the shipping company messes your package up, you can guess what they'll pay you... Yep, $100.

Also, read Drivers post on what might happen if they ship the watch as a "repair".

Best thing to do - save a bit more money and pay the customs, that'll save you trouble.

I got a PM from someone over the weekend about shipping as a repair as well.

I just don't get it - why would you risk criminal prosecution for a couple of hundred bucks? Do people not realise how seriously jurisdictions are taking fraud like this these days?

Exactly. If I was you I would never ask someone to mis-represent the value. As far a understand it the onus is on the sender to be truthful or else it is they who get fined - HOWEVER, I for one wouldn't want to be party to any kind of fraud by asking someone to do it.

Yes nobody likes taxes.... but its infintely better than prison food!
