Post subject:  20mm tang strap using the 22mm spring bar

Hey guys,

I've just got a 20/18mm strap with tang buckle coming in the mail today.

Just wondering if anybody may have photos of a 20mm strap on a 22mm watch (i.e navi cosmo).

I've read about the security of the pin as 2mm of the pin is exposed, but as I would be using the original 22mm springs from the watch do you think there would be any dramas with it?

Any thoughts would be great.

I think the strong consensus will be don't do it. It looks ... Well ... It just looks wrong. It will be much more noticeable than you think. Especially when the watches you named are several thousand dollar pieces. You can get a OEM Breitling calf strap on a tang buckle from any AD for about $175. Not much really considering the price of the watches it will be used on.

Nothing looks cheaper than a strap that is too small in my opinion.
