Well I just made a tough decision.

Based on some other postings on here I have been in touch with Lee at Swiss Watch Store ( a member and advertiser) who thought he had a NOS LE Bluebird coming in - with a UTC. Well that was just too much to pass up so I told him I was interested and he promised me first refusal.

When the watch came in Lee and I were both disappointed to discover that it's the more common later Bluebird (still based on the original Blackbird, but not one of the rare LE of 250). I decided not to go for it with the exchange rate between Canada and the UK it worked out to be about $2,000 over a normal original Blackbird, and while it's NOS, blue and has a UTC I just couldn't justify that for what is essentially a regular Blackbird. It's a great looking piece, but I just have too many watches calling to me right now.

I hope I don't regret this...

I think you've made the right decision Roff. If it was the LE, then it would've been worth it but, as with any watch, if you aren't 100% happy with it you will only end up regretting it..... and even more so when you are going against the exchange rate.

A wise move has been made.

Lovely watch roff but imho, not 2k's worth of exclusivity...I agree that if it had been the LE, It should of been snapped up but as its not, passing on it was what I'd have done.

I agree with the others - I believe you made the right call.
