Is the Super Avenger with arabic numbers being replaced with a Super Avenger with batons?

So 2008 is the end of the Super Avenger with arabic numbers? or was the last model year 2007, and the ones with the arabic numbers are what is left of the 2007 models?

Well now that's an interesting question......

The 2008 model has batons - rolling out to stores now. However the Japanese fitting site still has the arabic numbers up suggesting that the baton version is an addition, not a replacement (similar to the polished Blackbird).

If it's a replacement then the last arabics would have been produced around April of this year and ADs will only have what's left in stock.

Chronograph dials are same color as dial too if memory serves me.

According to a local dealer you will have the option of either the numbered or marker version of the SA.

On the 2008 model - you are correct. Subdials with arabics were always white.

I think the New SA wins Hands Down! It looks classier and more sophisticated. And the big differentiator for me was the same color sub-dials as the dial. Pics from the B-ling site here!

Interestingly, the sub-dial on a Black SA is not exactly black. It is black with fine grey vertical lines (Like the Sub Dials of the Avenger Skyland) and changes the pattern ever so lightly with change in direction of light!   LOVE IT!

Waiting for mine to get delivered... soonn...

Sorry, but I think they have totally killed the look of the watch with the stick markers. Glad I got mine when I did 8)

Agreed - don't know what they were thinking.

I actually preferred the batons from pictures, but when I saw it in the flesh the dial just looked too 'empty' - not enough to fill up the dial of such a big watch.

Driver, you know you have to get two more SA's... A white one and a black one, with baton markers so you can decide freely between colors and dials.

I agree, the arabics are what make it what it is. I think the dial looks a little empty with batons
