Hi Guys, I'm hopefully buying a Breitling Colt II Chronograph from a private seller next week. The only issue is that the battery has stopped working. I bought my last Colt Chrono this way but it was from a known source whereas this is not. So I was hoping to remove the case back (using a watch ball to avoid damage) and try a new battery myself, before getting a proper replacement with seals and pressure test etc. I can't find the exact battery I will need for an a73380 though. Does anyone know which battery I'll need? SCRUB THAT... I think I've found it's a 394 battery AKA SR45 type. So more importantly, what's the best way of spotting a fake with these as it's been a good while since I sold my last one and the fakes are very good these days! Thanks ![]() |

Breitling pics on their ws do nothing for it. The New one is on my list for next year! Also regards the battery imo bite the bullet and get a ad to do it. It wilt set your mind at ease and it Will be sealed up as ad specs. |

I've seen a new Colt in my local AD... at least I'm 99% sure it was and honestly, it looks to me like an old TAG Aquaracer. I will definitely get the watch properly sealed but I'm going to be rushing and as I've changed so many batteries beforehand, I think I'd like to just try and test it briefly with my own tools etc. |
