Since mid-july I have been waiting and finally I got the email from FEAR! BUSA received my TO Chrono LE, Silver dial and subs, brown croc with deployant!!!!!!!

It is with incredible pain that I will wait the next few days or couple of weeks to receive it!!!!! The question now is: After initial inspection, does my wife put the box under the tree or do I wear it immediately? On one hand my wife and kids know how much I like this watch, on the other my kids would be surprise to see me open it on Xmas day?

Decisions, decisions, decisions.......

You already know what it is, so no surprise effect, what's the point of letting it wait in its box, all alone?

Wear it now and enjoy it. :lingsrock: And congrats for a very nice pick-up.

Brez,

DON'T PUT IT UNDER THE TREE :wowzers :wowzers :wowzers :wowzers .

The last place a beautiful gift like that should be is under the tree!!! If some 'low-life' broke in and stole everything from under your tree (which does happen) you would also lose a very special gift - at least if it's on your wrist it will be much safer. Now, that's how I'd convince Mrs KMG  that I should wear it now :D :D :D :D :D . Seriously though, not under the tree :) .

:lingsrock:

I would wait, it's only one more month, but as mentioned above put it somewhere safe.. I waited a few months when I got my Aqua Terra until my daughter was born to put it on. I know that mine was a commemorative purchase, and yours may not be, but I swear the watch got nicer and I appreciated it more the longer I waited to wear it... JMO..

totally agree here - its not worth the risk just 'out in the open'

great watch, one of the nicest lings in the current lineup, especially the silver/silver combo; meet the ancestor, 47 years old and going strong:

Yeah I didn't think of the "stolen under tree" option. It did happen in my. Neighborhood about 15 years ago. 5 houses in a row were broken into while the occupants were gone to the midnight service at church!

That Top Time is awesome and I'm sure my son or daughter will be happy with the TO 40ish year from now! Heck my 16 year old daughter wants to wear my second aerospace ( wife wears first) now!

It would be a cool story that would follow that watch for you as long as you own it if you let your kids put it on your wrist for the first time on Christmas morning. You would think of it everytime you put it on...

I say grit your teeth and make Christmas special for you and for them.
