Well, I will be leaving for the Caribbean in a few weeks and debating whether or not I should wear my Skyland. I'll be doing plenty of diving/snorkeling and I realise that it is built to handle it, however I am being somewhat of a "wuss".

As funny as it may sound, I am worried about the dial being exposed to sunlight more than anything else. I have never come across a thread where someone living in a sunny local ever complaining of dial fade and have read that Breitling subjects their dials to extensive UV exposure testing as well, yet I am still worried.

Could someone please put my mind at ease....thanks

Although I am not a diver, I had a SuperOcean for 10 years and it got constant wear - literally every day for 10 years - exposed to all the hazards of operating machinery and printers in a print shop, including servicing by putting hands inside the machine. Yup, it got some scratches, but that's what personalizes a watch and gives it character.
I not have a Blacksteel, which gets subject to the same treatment. It has stood the hazards of production work equally well.
At this point I would say: take the Skyland with you, and enjoy it like it was meant to be enjoyed! Originally, the Colt was I believe designed for use in the armed forces, and I can't see that any of these Aeromarine models are any less tough.

I would use the skyland as your going out to dinner watch and keep the seawolf as your 'beater'.....
