Which colour dial would you prefer and why?

I narrowed my choices to the black and blue, given I sold all my blue dial watches and I feel the need to fill the gap.

The black dial is nice but I heard it can be hard to read on certain lighting with the glossy numberals. Can owners chime in? The Black will look great in rubber and leather straps!

The white/silver dial is good but I have already have a white dial watch.

Black is a safe color but gets boring after a while. I got a blue BTW :)

Black is the classic for a divers watch. I can't really get used a different colour. Works brilliantly with bracelet, calf and rubber.

Black for me - it's the only choice for a PROPER divers watch IMO. That said I've also owned two silver dial versions and they are very versatile too, but black was my favourite. I shouldn't have sold it.

I'd personally steer clear of blue as its just not so versatile IMO. I've never had a blue SF but I had a blue World and while the colour was very beautiful I just didnt find it so easy to wear. Black all the way for me.

Wow. There are now 5 votes each for the dial colour variants. Just goes to show how versatile the SteelFish is. You must be well confused now

I voted blue. Interestingly I always preferred the black, and yet I had a silver dailled one. Mainly because it was a great bargain when I bought it.

I am lucky enough to be able to compare all three side by side and the blue just stands out for me now. It can change hue effortlessly and the blue just makes me daydream of under water expiditions. Sadly, I am no longer able to compare because we recently sold our very last black dialled example. Maybe, that says something too.

Either way, the SteelFish is a classic and you'll be happy with any dial colour.

On a sidenote, I was at Tourneau today in Chicago and they still have a white dial Steelfish in their Breitling case. You can even take advantge of their wondeful 18 month no interest financing and get a gift card for your next purchase for 10% of the Steelfish.

Voted white dial - but aren't they more off-white, cream colored?

Thanks for the opinions and pics!

I am tossing between the black and blue at the moment.

Given I have 2 black dial diver watches..leaning to the blue.

Personally, I prefer and own the silver. However, I voted blue since you not really considering the silver. Like you, I find the black dial hard to read at certain angles. When I picked up my Fish, I was torn between the blue, and the silver. I went with silver, to me it has more options with what I wear, but the blue was a VERY close second.....Happy hunting!
