At long last I recieved my Aerospace back after being sent away for a new battery but was informed that the battery had leaked and ruined the movement so needed a replacement at £740... Ouch!!

I was a little surprised to recieve no paperwork from Breitling apart from a service leaflet.

I of course have a till receipt for the work from Goldsmiths but no description of the fact that the movement has been replaced.

Is this normal or could I request this from Breitling UK and has any one had the same?

I am not looking to sell her in the forseeable future but if I do I would rather sell it with paperwork that supports the fact that the work has actually been done and by Breitling UK.

I would be interested in your thoughts

When I sent my watch to BUK I received a bill from them stating the work done and cost.

If it was me I would be contacting them on Monday morning to confirm work done and costs.
At BUK they will be more than happy to discuss recent work.

You should have received BUK paperwork stating all this and as proof for your 12 months warranty.

Good luck,

Col.

When I got mine back from BUK it had a letter detailing all the work done and costs.

I think this is the difference between sending the watch to BUK yourselves or via an authorised dealer. A letter detailing work carried out and costs (unless under warranty) accompanies each return from BUK but the dealer isn't always keen to forward this on to you, especially if their administration charge has perhaps been a little 'ambitious'. I have asked BUK for such a letter to be provided to me in the past but they declined on the grounds that their contract for the was with the authorised dealer and not myself and that it was up to the AD to give me the letter if they chose to. The AD declined and I deal with BUK directly now.
