I was flicking through the pages of my Breitling Bible and came across the pliot option. I realised I'v never seen anyone's pictures of their watches with the pilot UTC option, plenty of the older non digital UTC. I think I know why...IMO they're fugly. Is this the case? |

I voted 3 because there are too many contenders for #4 from the past couple of years. It was a poor replacement for the UTC in my opinion. |

Well thats the first one I'v seen! While its not as bad when combined with an LCD watch, its still not working for me. No offence but I prefer the older stye. (imagine is not my watch). ![]() |

I'm kind of biased. Give me the old UTC any day. Some of the old collection now sadly gone. But my new black B-1 is due to have a UTC fitted in the next few weeks. ![]() ![]() And on a titanium Pro 2....now you don't see that every day ![]() ![]() ![]() Cheers Gav |

I'm with Driver8 on that one, I also voted for the first of the two #3's (number 2). I think it would look pretty good on my Airwolf (that's about all though - in all honesty my Airwolf does everything that I want already). So there we are ![]() |

Kind Regards Carl PS they all look great UTC bracelets are different. If you tell us which watch we can give you the correct end link code. No, I'm afraid it's not identical Carl. The UTC link is 19mm and the clasp link is 18mm so if you used it, the UTC would move about sideways on the springbar. It's been tried and, although it "fits" it doesn't look particularly good and the movement of the link on the springbar could stress the bar and break, causing you to possibly drop or loose your watch. There is a way of adapting a Pro II bracelet in the manner you are describing but that's because the link at the clasp is 20mm which allows some machining of the link to fit the UTC. A modification to the bracelet link allows the adapted "UTC" end link to fit the bracelet. I have carried out this modification twice on a Pro II. |
