I'm going on holiday soon and, of course, the question crossed my mind a few days ago. Which one should I take with me? I guess some of you will say is my call, that's true, but I'd like to hear what people think.

oh, the destination is Thailand. :D

Sounds like when I visted Rio last year. I was a little nervous so left my good watches at home and took my old Citizen eco-drive and Monster. One less thing to worry about and no one looked at me twice. Even a local told me to do that and he's got a couple of Rolex's. He wears the real ones to work meetings and wears the fakes when wondering the streets.

OK, more seriously, I would vote for the GMTIIc. Seems like a perfect watch for traveling, although I do think it may be sage advice to go with a beater that won't attract too much attention. That part is up to you, of course.

I took my g-shock beater when I went in 2009. I wouldn't feel comfortable wearing a nice watch there. If they're fully insured, then maybe, but better safe than sorry.

Where are you planning to go in Thailand? It's a beautiful country, but not without its dodgy areas!
