Thanks for all your help, Ken You will receive everything except the warranty card. Great crew at PrestigeTime.com. I purchased my Navi-World from them. See "Feedback" section. ~Brian |

So what happens with warranty issues? With no card, how does a consumer get the authorized service center to take care of any problems under warranty? Just rolling the dice and hope nothing happens? I'm new here and just curious... ![]() |

![]() Therein lies one of the problems with online purchases. You get a warranty from Prestige Time - 2 years, the same as Breitling factory, but obviously without the option of taking your watch to the local AD if you have problems. |

Indeed. Whenever there's a problem during the warranty period you have to ship it back to the online seller. That can be tricky with all customs if you are overseas (both US customs and your own country's customs can harass you a lot if they feel like it). When the warranty have expired, you can go to your AD as long as your serial number is intact. Without a serial number, most AD's won't take it. |

Thanks for the info guys. I see in the "feedback" section that interwatches.com issue everything from warranty card - which is stamped. Their item also includes all certs and paperwork. I guess its worth confirming from them first as to what exactly they will issue with the watch. Thanks for the input guys, much appreciated as always Ken |

Not always stamped, I was lucky. |

For the most part, you can assume most reputable online dealers to give you an in-house 2 years warranty and that Breitling won't honour any warranty... and the ones that don't file off the serials numbers you can take to Breitling or an authorized service center to repair after that. If the serials are filed off, then you likely can't send it into Breitling. You can take it to your local AD and have their watchmaker fix it.. they don't usually seem to care. |

Most watch makers will fix the problem that I noticed for a nominal fee though after the warrenty has expired. |

Personally I would only be particularly concerned to ensure that the serial numbers are in place on the watch. With the current savings to be made online, I would certainly be tempted to buy on the net - from a reputable site of course. If it has a stamped up warranty card, then great. But if not.... does it really matter all that much (provided the watch is 100% genuine and has it's serials in tact)??? The reason I say that is because 2 years of ownership under warranty flies by pretty swiftly and generally speaking you will be quite unlucky to have problems during that time. And if you do have problems (but no warranty), what's the worst that'll happen? You'll have to pay for repairs yourself. To give some idea of costs, my Bentley Le Mans is now in for a full and complete service, and will cost me £300. This has kind of opened my eyes a bit to the fact that repairs don't cost the earth. Therefore, if I was looking to purchase a watch that has a UK retail price of £3000, but I could buy it online for say £2300, I'd effectively have £700 in my back-pocket should anything untoward happen. Personally I'm at a point where I would be more than happy to take the risk that I may have to spend £300 if repairs are ever needed, because I'd already saved £700 over retail. As I say, for me the most important thing is that Breitling will do the repairs - hence it must have serials intact (and be genuine, OBVIOUSLY!) - but I'm really starting to see the benefits of on-line purchases. I should point out that until my recent Bentley Le Mans purchase I have always bought from AD's, but I'm pretty certain than my next one will be online. |

My Navi-World has all of the serial numbers in place. I have heard there have been a few transactions from AuthenticWatches.com that did not have serial numbers on the watch. ~Brian |

Yes, but when you shop from Authenticwatches you can see if the model's serial is intact or not. Whenever it says it has serials in the detailed info (in capital writing) it does. If not, it doesn't. Often there are different priced versions of the same watch and the reason is the serials - the more expensive one has them still... |
