Hey guys. Just got my dream watch as a wedding present from my fiance (Navitimer World). I saw right away there where micro scratches on the face to where it looked like a very very small dot of haze. Again its a very small area and only see it when you look under the light in a certain angle. Of course im going to tourneau 2morow to exchange it but i was wondering if this is common on them??? Arent they scratch resistant???

Thank you

Breitlings have doubled sided Anti-reflective glare on the crystal. It can scratch. Smudges on the A/R can be deceptive. I have often caught a similar appearance while out and about, but each time it was just a finger print smudge or some other substance on the crystal. A wipe down with a micro-fiber cloth (like those sold for eyeglasses) moistened with hot water removed it.

Certainly take it in if that doesn't rectify it.

As said, it is more than likely just smudging from fingerprints/moisture on the crystal as the AR, while not being quite as tough as the underlying sapphire crystal, is still a very tough and robust coating.

That said, the AR coating can be scratched so if it is damaged it's worth speaking to your AD about it if the watch is brand new.
